Set up site details
This article explains how to complete the setup for a new site after it’s been created.
Overview
Once a site is added, you can configure arming schedules, detection settings, site contacts, and response options.
Steps
1. Open the site
From the Dashboard, select Sites in the top-left menu.
Locate the new site under Site Name (for example, Big Building).
Confirm you’re in the Site Details tab.
2. Define arming options
Choose an arming state:
Armed – Always armed.
Disarmed – Always disarmed.
Test Mode – Used for testing; alerts appear in Admin Portal only.
Auto Arm – Site arms and disarms automatically according to schedule.
Use the Arming Schedule grid to click and drag the desired armed hours, then select Save Changes.
Your Scheduled Summary will display the armed periods.
3. Configure event detection
Under Event Detection, select Person, Vehicle, or both, depending on which types of motion should trigger alerts.
4. Add site contacts
In Site Contacts, click Add Contact.
Either select an existing contact or add a new one by entering:
First Name
Last Name
Email
Phone (include country code +64 or +61 with no spaces, for example: +6421123456)
Role and Company
Set Contact Preference to SMS Then Call, SMS Only, Call Only, or None.
Use None if the person shouldn’t receive notifications.
Click Add Contact to save.
A confirmation message appears: The contact has been added successfully.
5. Add monitoring companies
Add two entries under Monitoring Companies:
Watchful – primary monitoring team.
HSM Group – overflow monitoring team.
6. Configure event schedule
Use Event Schedule to create one-off changes to arming hours.
For example, during maintenance or after-hours work.
Select the Date.
Enter a Name, Description, and Event Type.
Choose whether the site should be Armed or Disarmed for that time.
Click Save Changes on the top right corner of the screen.
