Add site users
This article explains how to add a new user to a site and provide them with access to the Watchful mobile app.
Overview
Site Users are the people who can access the Watchful mobile app to manage arming, disarming, and schedules for a specific site. Each user must be added under Site Users before they can log in to the app.
Steps
1. Open the site
From the Dashboard, go to the top-left menu and select Sites.
Find the site you want to give a user access to.
Open the site and select Site Users from the left-hand menu.
2. Add a new site user
Click Add User on the right-hand side.
You can choose from two options:
Add Existing User – select a user who already has access to other sites.
Invite New User – create a new user for the site.
To invite a new user, enter:
Email Address
First Name
Last Name
Under Admin Roles, select Project Administrator.
This is the default role used for site users.
Click Send Invite.
The user is now added to the Site Users list and has been invited to access the app.
3. Help the user set their password
After sending the invite, the user must create their own password.
Ask the user to go to app.watchful.cloud/login.
They should click Forgot Password.
Enter the same email address you added under Site Users.
Click Send Reset.
They will receive an email with a password reset link.
Once they create a new password, they can log into the mobile app.
Result
The user now has full access to the Watchful mobile app. They can:
Arm and disarm the site
Manage arming schedules
Use site-level tools within the app
